These drawings are not just some random colorful tree leaves. They are testimonies of how humanity interacts with nature, influences the climate and pollutes the environment. Trees respond to this and the reflection of the stress can be seen in the leaves. And no, they are not ordinary autumn leaves either. They are based on real examples, leaves that fell from trees in the months of July and August in 2023 and 2024.

In 2021 I endorsed the #TreeToo manifest from Etienne Verbist as a former volunteer archaeobotanist in archaeology, to express my deep concern about nature and human actions against the planet and our environment.
